Turkmun (Hazaragi: تورکمون) or Turkmani (تورکمنی) is a main and almost a large tribe of the Hazara people that originates from the Turkman valley in present-day Parwan, Afghanistan. They have their own dialect of Persian known as Hazaragi.[1][2][3]
History[edit]
Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire in the early 16th century, several times referred to these Hazaras in Baburnama as "Turkoman Hazaras".[1]
