Vu Van Mau (1914-1998)was Prime Minister of Republic of Viet Nam in 1975 before Saigon fell of the communist. Therefore,he was the great scholar at Vietnamese civil law, Vietnamese historical law before 1975 and now, because of the foodnote of his books in many law books today (in Vietnamese). He was Senator of Republic of Viet Nam before 1975, the judge at Saigon Supreme Court, and the real Professor at Saigon Law School, Sai gon University.
He died in 1998 in Paris, when he was 84.
