Category:Post-Columbian Native American cuisine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neo-Native American cuisine.

Only food eaten and dishes invented after colonial contact (both direct and indirect).

This includes food that was found on the land, but not eaten by any known tribe until European contact.

This does not include food eaten pre-colonially by some tribes, but not eaten by others until post-colonial times. Those belong in their own specific category.

Please do not include any non-Native American derived food here that modern day Native Americans consume in great quantities (such as United States cuisine).

Note:This specific page includes widespread dishes/ingredients (generally eaten by multiple modern day cultural areas).

Food that is generally eaten in only one cultural area belongs in its specific subcategory.
