Bara Tehsil (Urdu: باڑہ) is a subdivision located in Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

At the 2017 census, Bara Tehsil's population was 444,403 in 51,869 households .[3]
Education[edit]
There are about 400 schools and colleges in Bara Tehsil. A total of 102 schools were destroyed during a ten-year period of militancy in the region, leading to around 64,000 students abandoning education.[5]
Transportation[edit]
Bara Tehsil is linked to Peshawar by the Peshawar-Bara Road. The road was closed from 2009 to 2013 in an operation to contain growing militancy.[6]
