Durefishan Saleem is a Pakistani actress who appears on Urdu television.[2] She made her acting debut with a supporting role in Dil Ruba (2020)[3] as a supporting actress.[4][5]

She also played in Bhaaras (2020)[6] for which she received an ARY People's Choice Awards.[7] Then, she gained her recognition in Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi (2022)[8] and Ishq Murshid (2023).[9][10]

Early life[edit]

Durefishan was born on 14 January 1996 in Lahore, Punjab to Saleem-ul-Hassan, who worked as a director and as a producer for PTV in the 2000s.[11] She obtained her LLB from University College London.[12] In 2019, she moved to Karachi to make her career in acting.[13][14]

Career[edit]

Debut and Sucess (2020 – 2021)[edit]

Durefishan made her debut in a supporting role in Dil Ruba and also she received nomination in Lux Style Awards for best new comer.[15] Then she made her lead debut in Bhaaras opposite Omer Shahzad and received postive reviews from critics.[16] Then, she acted in Pardes and Juda Huay Kuch Is Tarha.[17][18]

Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi and its recognition (2022 – 2023)[edit]

In 2022, she acted in love-dramatic Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi opposite Danish Taimoor which made her successful and popular actress in industry.[19] In 2023, she acted in Jurm with Wahaj Ali and Siyaah and social-drama Jaisay Aapki Marzi.[20][21]

Established actress (2023 – present)[edit]

Then, She played the as a headstrong girl in light-hearted Ishq Murshid along with Bilal Abbas which received more viewership and fame.[22] and in 2024, she was also rose fame to revenge-thrilling Khaie opposite Faysal Quraishi.[23][24]
